HILL ARCHITECTS is pleased to announce the opening of the new Rodney Lough Jr. Wilderness Collections Gallery at the newly opened MGM Mirage CityCenter project in Las Vegas, Nevada.
HILL ARCHITECTS was selected as Design Architect and Architect of record for two new art gallery projects at the $11 billion, 69 acre, MGM Mirage CityCenter project. The overall project includes collaborations between
MGM MIRAGE and eight of the world’s foremost architects.
The most expensive privately funded construction project in US history, CityCenter, is a vertical city in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip. Located between the Bellagio and Monte Carlo hotels, CityCenter combines 2,700 private residences, two 400-room non-gaming boutique hotels, a dramatic 60-story, 4,000-room resort casino, and approximately 500,000
sq.ft. of retail and entertainment facilities into a single urban core.
An ultra modern, urban environment with nicely hidden parking structures, CityCenter has its own fire station, an on-site power plant, and generous pedestrian spaces. CityCenter is scheduled to achieve LEED certification for the project as outlined by the U.S. Green Building Council.
